Discovery School

Our purpose as a Whnau Group is to provide ideas, support and advice to the principal, Board of Trustees and teaching team at Discovery School that contributes towards our tamariki enjoying and achieving education success. Last year we supported the visits to Takapuwahia Marae, the Kapo Kapo kapa haka group and we helped the children to create the... beautiful korowai now being displayed in the school office. This year we are looking forward to celebrating Matariki - the Mori New Year and supporting the Kapo Kapo kapa haka group once again as well as planning other fun and exciting activities that help us celebrate te ao Mori. We meet in the staffroom once a term and we welcome the involvement of all parents and whnau. If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of you can call Elena on 2347414 or email at elena_higgison@hotmail.com Mauri Ora!!Read More
