Discovery Church

Discovery Church is a coummunity of people who have been changed by the goodnews about Jesus Christ and now aim to follow him. God has a unique call and mission for each church. God has called us to the task of Building Families in Christ. Families are under signficant pressure in our culture, with the pervasive media, constant busyness, and the de... valuing of the family. Discovery Church aims to build families up. We are committed to children. We devote a large amount of volunteer time to teaching the kids about God's love. We regularly have mission projects that young and old and everyone in between can participate in together. We have sponsored courses on marriage and parenting. The people of Discovery come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some have gone to some kind of church all their lives. Some have never gone to a church, until recently. Others went to church as a kid but didn't really 'get it.' Some know alot about the Bible; others not much. But it doesn't matter. We never lose sight of the fact that many people come to church knowing very little about Jesus or the Bible. We do all that we can to make sure that no one feels left out. If you have been around for a while, because of our emphasis on education and the Bible, we are sure that you will find the depth here to grow deeper in your faith and be challenged to become more like Christ. Finally, we believe that God is active in our lives both as we gather together in his name and as we go about our daily lives. We remind each other of this truth in our benediction each week.Read More
