D&H Housing was founded in 1998 by Richard Deso, who then operated Deso Real Estate out of his convenience store, Lester's in St. Albans. Richard and his wife, Suzanne decided to sell Lester's, and then Richard, with his now former partner, Jim Harrison of Harrison Concrete, began focusing on selling manufactured housing and developing properties f... or land & home packages. In 2001, D&H was relocated from an office on Route-105 to our current property on Route-78, right by MVU High School & I-89 exit 21. A few years later, Richard became sole owner and soon after erected our first of now 3 mini-storage unit buildings. On a Saturday in June of 2015, Richard and Suzanne's grandson, Brendan Deso, graduated from Bellow's Free Academy, St. Albans and began working at D&H that following Monday. Later that year, in October, our Office Manager of 10 years found a new job in a different part of the Real Estate industry. At that time, Richard promoted his grandson to General Manager and that is our current staff - Richard & Brendan.
