Development Assistance Group

The Development Assistance Group (DAG) was established in 2001 to foster information sharing, policy dialogue and harmonise donor support to Ethiopia in order to enable the country to meet the targets set in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). DAG also assists in the preparation, monitoring and evaluation of the country's Poverty Reduction Str... ategy (PRS). DAG currently comprises 27 development partners providing development assistance to Ethiopia within the Paris Declaration principles of aid effectiveness and harmonization. DAG members are: African Development Bank (AfDB), Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, DFID, European Commission, FAO, Finland, France, Germany, IMF, India, Israel, IrishAid, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Spain (AECID), Turkish International Cooperation Agency (TIKA), UNDP, UNESCO, USAID and the World Bank. Following a revitalization process undertaken by DAG in 2004 and 2010 an Executive Committee was established and strengthened to set the DAG work plan. Current members of the DAG Executive Committee are: African Development Bank, UNDP, EU, World Bank, DFID, Canada, Italian Development Cooperation, German Development Cooperation and USAID.
