2nd of January 1987 becomes the new era of tire industry in Samarinda. It was on that day Dermaga Jaya was established on the main road of Samarinda at Jl.Imam Bonjol. With only 1 employee, Dermaga Jaya strived to gain market share within the already established market with opening hours from 8am to 9pm. Its hard work turns out to be fruitful. On 1... 7th of November 1996, Dermaga Jaya was trusted by PT. Bridgestone Tire Indonesia to be its first and sole representative in Samarinda as a 'Toko Model' or better known as TOMO. TOMO itself serves as a retail shop which provides a high quality product served by well-trained staffs and mechanics. By now, Dermaga Jaya has positioned itself firmly on Jl. Imam Bonjol. Over the next years, Dermaga Jaya continues its outstanding performance. 2nd of January becomes another momentous day in Dermaga Jaya's history. It was on this day in the year of 2000, Dermaga Jaya was appointed as a Bridgestone distributor in East Kalimantan region. Dermaga Jaya has established itself to be a solid tire distributor in Samarinda. As it grows, Dermaga Jaya employees grow in numbers too. It has employed 10 mechanic, 3 administrations staffs, and 3 other staffs. In 2003, Kaltim Ban is built and assigned to be 'Toko Model', TOMO, in the city of Balikpapan. With the ever increasing number of vehicles coming to our doors everyday, we open another branch that is located on Jalan Ir. Sutami, Kompleks Pergudangan, Samarinda. It is named Dermaga Jaya II. It specialised taking care of big trucks and other heavy vehicles because of its strategic location that is near the ports as well as the gate to enter Samarinda city. Dermaga Jaya II is also the place where our main tire warehouse located. Karunia Kencana Abadi is built to become the first Bandag tire retread factory in East Kalimantan.
