A Silicon Valley company recently received $170 million in funding to try to revolutionize learning. After spending $100 million theyve scaled back and are now offering software to help manage schools. They couldnt conquer the problem of providing great educations to children. The literacy problem among our general population is deafening in its roar. We are affected by it every day. If you think about the miscommunications in your everyday life, you can be sure that a huge percentage of them are due to inability of one of the parties to understand the written word. The negative influence that movies, television shows and social media have on our children is frightening, with its message often favoring a self-serving live-for-the-now life where responsibility and accountability are a foreign concept, and nothing is really your fault. Delphi Academy believes each childs potential is limitless. We believe that children deserve the opportunity to become better prepared to face and conquer a world that is both beautiful and volatile, and often unpredictable. The ability to study independently and with full understanding allows the students to learn for use and application rather than to simply pass a test.
