About Delfin LNG

With approvals received from the Department of Energy (DOE), Maritime Administration (MARAD), and the United States Coast Guard (USCG), Delfin LNG is a highly-advanced, shovel ready LNG export project that will provide substantial benefits to the United States and the broader global community. Delfin LNG is developing the first floating liquefied natural gas vessels (FLNGVs) in North America. The project consists of an existing subsea pipeline that will transport U.S. natural gas from Cameron Parish, Louisiana to the Delfin LNG Deepwater Port, which is located up to 50 miles off the coast of Louisiana and will be the site of up to 4 FLNGVs. Each FLNGV will receive natural gas from the subsea pipeline and cool the gas onboard to -260F, a process which will convert the natural gas to liquefied natural gas (LNG). Once converted to LNG, a variety of international customers will pick up the cargoes from the FLNGVs and transport them back to their respective countries via LNG carriers (LNGCsRead more
