USDA has provided waivers to allow school meals to be free for ALL students in the SY2021-22! This means ALL enrolled students at Delaware City Schools will be able to receive one breakfast and one lunch at no charge every day school is in session. It's a great time to give school lunch a try! School meals meet Federal standards and research shows... children are receiving their healthiest meals while at school. A school lunch includes all five food components; an entree with protein and carbohydrate choice, 2 vegetables, a fruit selection and a milk. High School students may select up to 2 fruit choices. All students must take at least one serving of fruit or vegetable with their meal. All additional items are available for purchase if students have funds on their lunch account or cash to make these purchases. NO charging will be allowed for extras or a la carte items!
