Del Buono's Bakery

Grew up in South Jersey and Del Buonos was the best. Now living in the Boston area but make it a point to visit and stock up whenever I get back to SJ. Worth a special trip! Hands down best rolls and breads. my kids love their desserts too. Nothing like a local small business bakery that exceeds every possible expectation! I've been coming here for... 40+ years and LOVE your rolls BUT I must say getting rid of the paper bags for these crappy plastic bags is HORRIBLE! I enjoy nothing more than getting the hot rolls as the come out and with the brown bags I never had an issue, my rolls were always fresh and crisp when I was ready to use then. Today with these plastic bags by the time I got to my house some of the rolls were beginning to become soggy bc the plastic bag makes the hot roll "sweat". WHO THE HELL WANT TO EAT A SOGGY Del Buonos roll? I know I sure don't! Very disappointing. Hopefully you receive ALOT of complaints about this and change back over. I love the freshly baked rolls, they come out warm and delicious!! Ive been going to this bakery for a few years and my experiences have always been good until this week. I have to admit I was very disappointed when I didnt see the paper bags. Now theres clear plastic bags. Oh, I was so disgusted just by thinking of all the chemicals those plastic bags release when putting hot rolls in them. I asked one of the employees If I could get a paper bag and she said I could, after I pay. I told her I didnt want to use plastic bags for hot rolls as they leech chemicals into my bread and she proceeded to say that they test the bags. Does she really think I believed her? Plastic is plastic, period! Even if the bags are BPA free, I wouldnt feel comfortable putting steaming hot rolls in them. She gave me a paper bag after I paid which I used to transfer my rolls and in the trash went the plastic bag. Talk about unnecessary plastic bags!!!
