Spending most of his adult life as an actor, singer, comedian, impressionist, a member of Actors Equity and SAG-AFTRA, Dean Christophers stage, film, and television resume is extensive. Dean has opened for Frank Sinatra, Jr. and was a favorite opener for legendary comedian Don Rickles. Along the way he also released his CD Swingin with the Best, fo... r which he wrote the title song. Dean got his start at local clubs in his hometown of St. Louis, such as The Sting, The Speakeasy and the Playboy Club, with an act consisting of singing, comedy and impressions of personalities and singers. While he had grown up with rock n roll, his preference was the type of music the Rat Pack, Bobby Darin, and the like had been doing in Las Vegas. Dean moved to New York City, focusing on honing his acting skills at HB Studio. At the same time, he still sang, did comedy and emcee work for companies such as Boeing, Minolta, Chevrolet, EDS, Sony Federal Express, Tivoli and AT&T and performed at clubs like Catch a Rising Star, Chilies, and Dont Tell Mama. As an actor he shared the theatrical stage with actors such as Theodore Bikel, John Cullum, Eddie Bracken, Lee Meredith and Donna McKecknie and made appearances on daytimes All My Children, One Life to Live and Another World. His favorite stage roles include Amos Hart inChicago(receiving St Louis Theatre Circle Award) Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, Herbie in Gypsy, and the title roles in Barnum and Phantom. Dean has also been seen and heard on numerous radio and television co mmercials and is a recipient of the Marconi Award for Best Male Voice Talent. Frank Sinatra got to see resurgence in his style of music in the later years of his life. After Sinatras death, Deans love of that style of performance caused him to return to his roots as a night club/cabaret performer, hoping to keep alive the music of the performers he learned so much from in the beginning of his career.
