DBI was established in Cork in 1979 to facilitate the installation and supply of refractory materials, and to carry out repairs and maintenance to local Cork industry. Ian Hickey joined the company in 1982 and since then, with his dedicated team, expanded it to cater for, not just Refractory Intallations, but also for Civil Shotcrete and Gunite App... lications and other specialist areas. DBI's dedicated staff have used their expertise in the refractory industry for the past 33 years to help their clients to resolve problems and plan refractory requirements in many areas across industry, including small and medium sized businesses, state companies and large international industrial companies. They pride themselves in their customer service and high standard of work. DBI offer sales of refractory materials from their wide range of stock: bricks, mortars, dense and insulating castables, moldables, ceramic fibre products and other insulation materials. Other items not stocked can be sourced through our network of suppliers through out the UK and Europe ensuring fast and efficient turn around. DBI offer a refractory repair and installation service for all types of boilers, incinerators, furnaces and kilns. Due to our experience in refractory guniting and shotcreting, specialist aspects of civil engineering are included in the company's activities enabling the repair and maintenance of bridges, and stabilisation of rock faces, cliffs, quay walls and more.
