Dayspring Academy

Dayspring Academy is a charter school system serving Pre-K through 12th grade students in Pasco County, Florida, with a mission to develop character-driven, culturally literate lifelong learners prepared for high school, college, and workforce success. Founded in 2000 by community members committed to combining high academic standards with arts int... egration and character education, Dayspring Academy began with 130 kindergarten through fifth-grade students in rented space at Calvary Chapel Worship Center. The organization has since expanded significantly across multiple campuses to accommodate its growing enrollment and evolving educational offerings. In 2001, the academy leased and renovated its first dedicated building, the former Port Richey Veterans Medical facility, which enabled the addition of middle school grades. Recognizing the need for continued growth, the Embassy Hills Civic Association donated their building and contents in 2003 to house the expanding Dayspring Middle School program. The academy further diversified its offerings in 2010 by launching Dayspring's Little Scholars, a preschool program for three and four-year-old students, initially operating from rented church space before relocating to a purchased facility at 9732 Little Road in New Port Richey in 2011. Responding to sustained parent demand, Dayspring Academy introduced a high school program for the 2014-2015 academic year, initially co-located with the middle school campus.
