Davidson Oil Company was started in 1974 by Joe Davidson, the father of the company's present owners, Jodi Davidson-Teal and Chan Davidson. Joe quickly developed Davidson Oil as a leading-branded fuel and lubricants distributor and a convenience store retailer with a number of locations throughout Amarillo. In the late 1990s Jodi and Chan joined the company to help execute a strategy to focus strictly on fuel supply, a business that had helped Davidson Oil distinguish itself.
