During that time, the company operated as the Winston-Salem Retail Merchants Association and officially incorporated in 1909, with a principal office in Winston, North Carolina. Over a century flew by and in December 1992, the company changed the company's name to become DataMax Corporation. In January 2019, two remarkable people, who were current employees, bought the company and changed the legal name to CBHBC Corp, LLC (d.b.a. DataMax Corporation), each letter of CBHBC representing the first initial of all of their children's names. The new owners' vision was, and is, to build an organization and create a work environment based on the company's purpose and core values.
