Database Computer Systems was founded in 1983 to provide high-quality information system solutions and services for the business community. Today, we continue to focus on that original commitment while meeting customers' changing business needs. Database began with three employees and has grown to over 50 employees. Our corporate headquarters is lo... cated in Lynchburg, Virginia, where we occupy a 10,000 square foot facility and an off-site warehouse. Database offers a variety of hardware and software solutions to more than 500 customers in the Eastern United States. Major accounts include Black & Decker, Ericsson, Ross Laboratories, and Schewel Furniture Company. Database serves many types of businesses, such as route distributors, retail stores, medical, real estate, law offices, manufacturers, and wholesale distributors. In 1984, Database became one of the first to integrate the RealWorld Accounting Software into the UNIX environment. As a result, Database developed numerous vertical market modules integrated with RealWorld such as Time & Billing, Convenience Store Management, and Route Accounting. Database became a value-added reseller for the Titan software products from Intrix Systems Group in 1990. In 1996, Database became a strategic business partner with Made2Manage Systems and began to market and implement their client server enterprise management system. Market foresight and flexible solutions have been major contributors to the success of Database.
