Darby Distribution is a locally owned, professional, contractor- oriented lumberyard located in western Montana, midway between Missoula MT and Salmon ID. Darby Distribution has been serving the Bitterroot Valley since 1976. Since 1983, under the current ownership, Darby Distribution has grown from a small local business in Darby MT, to a full serv... ice building materials and hardware store, which prides itself in servicing contractors and homeowners throughout western Montana and the greater Salmon, Idaho area with a fleet of modern and versatile delivery trucks. In addition to fulfilling all your lumber and hardware needs, there is also a truss plant on site. This state-of-the-art facility is capable of building trusses anywhere from a small garage up to a building requiring 60' long trusses and up to 13'6" in height. There is a full time truss designer on staff with whom you can discuss your truss designs. In October 2008 we moved into our new store. The store offers over 15,000 square feet of hardware, paint, gardening, plumbing and electrical shopping expanse which is attached to our 12,000 square foot drive-through, under-cover lumber storage.
