Dancin' 4 a Cure

Dancin 4 a Cure is a 501c3 nonprofit organization spawned from our parent line dance group, Hampton Roads Soul Steppers. After being founded in 2009, Hampton Roads Soul Steppers were instrumental in organizing many free dance workshops in Hampton Roads, donating time and money to charitable organizations, and hosting several dance functions in the... area. Because HRSS members were often asked to perform for charitable events, in November 2014, Hampton Roads Soul Steppers decided that we could make more of an impact to the community as an established non-profit and were incorporated as Dancin 4 a Cure Inc. The Hampton Roads Soul Steppers is the performance branch of Dancin 4 a Cure Inc. and still perform for charitable events such as Relay for Life in Suffolk, and Portsmouth, and Norfolk. The Hampton Roads Soul Steppers also are available for weddings, retirement parties, birthday parties, etc. Funds from our paid performances are donated to our non-profit organization Dancin 4 a Cure Inc. to help finance community events like National Dance Day. (These funds help cover the cost of this volunteer-run event, which includes renting venues, printing promotional materials and providing free dance instructions for participants.
