About Dancemania
Cherie Lewis opened the doors to Dancemania in 1997. It had always been her dream of owning her own dance studio since she was a little girl. Cherie grew up in the Utica area and studied dance with several local teachers. She was a competitive dancer winning numerous awards throughout her childhood, studied RAD ballet syllabus under the direction of Joanne Rinaldo and as a young adult received her certification to teach through Dance Masters of America. Dancemania offers instructional classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acrobatics & Hip Hop. It is more than just a dance studio it is a family! Each student has an opportunity to learn and grow whether they are a tiny tot or teen, a recreational or competitive dancer. A wise teacher once told Miss Cherie that "its not always about being the best but about being better than you were yesterday." Birthday parties are available to dancers.
