I am passionate about color and design, creating a sense of fresh style for every home and product I design. I have been fortunate to win worldwide acclaim for my first of many successful fabric and wallpaper collections. Many in the wallcovering industry call me the Queen of Print which may have something to do with my English heritage. My dream i... s to expand my design and color expertise into other home and fashion products. As I travel I make it a point to discover exotic and quaint marketplaces. I love finding pieces that are on trend for todays market. Paris, London, New York, Asia and other exotic worldwide locations offer color and design flavors, which add an exotic blend to my brand. As a youth, I spent time travelling and visiting my British relatives. My English side of the family nicknamed me Daisy at an early age. Both of my parents were born in England. My Father was a man of great style and humanity. My mother was a strong woman and an artist. I spent much of my youth in our studio where I developed my love of color and design. In 1999 I met the love of my life, Richard Emmert! I moved to Chicago from Toronto and became an American citizen. It was a magical time. Rick and customers could see my natural talent in design and encouraged me to develop and release my first Jaima Brown Home Collection. The Jaima Brown Home brand is a successful brand of wallpaper and fabric that is still in the marketplace today. The mascot of Jaima Brown Home & Daisy Bennett Designs is my English black Labrador Dog Daisy and my opinionated African Grey Parrot Lilly. Lilly gets jealous of Daisy so I let her think she is a mascot but it is really Daisy. I spend my day with Daisy in my studio, sleeping under my desk as Lilly whistles Good Bye from her perch.
