CURENT, the Center for Ultra-Wide-Area Resilient Electric Energy Transmission Networks, is a collaborative research center focused on advancing electric energy systems through innovations in power systems, power electronics, and transportation electrification. It is supported by the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy, and is led by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in partnership with several universities. CURENT aims to develop resilient, efficient, and sustainable electric energy systems to address climate change and promote sustainability.
