The company originated in Toronto over twenty-five years ago and soon evolved to three branch offices in Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver. CSA's BC office has been in operation since 1993 and in January of 1993 the company restructured with the B.C. office forming a separate corporate entity. On staff are two principals, registered professional engineers, engineers-in-training, applied science technologists, CAD technicians, and support staff. CSA is approved as Building Envelope Professionals by various municipalities in B.C. Key members of the team have successfully completed the Building Envelope Education Program. CSA Western's primary base of experience has been with a predominantly corporate client base focussing on existing building engineering services; however, demands from increasing problems encountered with multi-family residential housing in recent years has shifted the firm's focus to the resolution of those problems.
