It is a worldwide, interdenominational Christian ministry that seeks for every university student to have an opportunity to hear and thoughtfully respond to the good news of Jesus Christ. Since its inception in 1951, Cru has existed for one purpose: to inspire & equip college students to change the world by reaching their communities on their own c... ampuses with the life changing message of the gospel. We want to help others grow in their relationship with Christ, as well as to build others up with the tools to thoughtfully engage in meaningful spiritual conversations with fellow friends and students on their campus. We strive to see a growing, dynamic Christ-centered spiritual movements led by students, fueled by the desire the Lord has given each individual to serve Him and to share His good news of abundant life in Him. What are we striving to be? We are striving to become a transformational faith community seeking to live out and to communicate the fullness of the good news of Jesus Christ to San Diego and the world. Our desire throughout this process is that we would demonstrate values of grace & truth, authenticity and community. Why do we exist? Cru exists to give every student in San Diego every opportunity to know and follow Jesus Christ. We are not about a religion, we are not about an agenda, but we are about real people with real questions seeking real answers. We invite you to be apart of an authentic community of people who are trying to figure out what it means to be followers of Jesus. We believe that every person is a spiritual being on a journey.
