After completing his management degree in his native Ireland in 2001 Ross decided to take a year out and travel the globe. After travelling throughout Australasia Ross found himself settling down in Australia for 2 years working for a large development company in Sydney. The company specialized in large construction projects such as Government buildings, apartment complexes, shopping outlets and at times it employed up to eighty staff members. After 6 months of working for the group Ross was offered a supervisory role organizing duties on different sections of the build and was responsible for overseeing his own team of employees. Having gained a wealth of experience from his time in Australia, Ross decided to return home for a short period of time before setting his sights on the West Coast of America in 2003.
