We have a Prescription for all of your home repairs! Crouse Home services was founded in May of 1942 by Francis John Akers. Crouse Home Services was founded to be a maintenance and repair service... for the many local mills in Gaston County and the surrounding areas. In 1972, the founders grandson, John Akers, Jr. inherited and ran the business with the intent of continuing to serve the local mill homes in and around Gaston County. He continued to maintain and run the business with pride in all of Crouses Home Services work. Francis John Akers great-great grandson, John Akers Jr. III, took control of the business in 1984 until his death in 1989. At this point, great grandson Francis Akers, briefly ran the business until great-great grandson, K. Kelly retired from serving 22 years in the Navy as a E9 Master Chief. K. Kelly continued to run the business with the same pride and dedication as his former family had, as he ventured into serving the full community of Gaston County and surrounding areas. K. Kelly formed additional service options to the area as the local mills began to close and the many of the mill houses were sold for investments and remodeling. He started to accept and run insurance claims, repairing many of the valuable homes in our area. As this venture grew, he began and continues to work with many popular insurance companies, including All State, American Modern Home, Auto Owners, Farm Bureau, Geico Home, Hartford, Nationwide, Progressive, State Farm, and USAA. As time progressed, K. Kelly expanded services to include maintenance to cover homeowners warranties for Americas First Choice, Americas Home Warranty, American Home Shield, Home Buyers Warranty, and Liberty Mutual.
