Crittenden Adjustment

The corporation of Crittenden Adjustment Company was formed in 1971. It originated in a garage office at the home of Archer B. Crittenden in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It progressively grew into a renowned, multi-state independent adjusting company, specializing in all lines of insurance claims. Edward R. Crittenden joined his father's business in 1... 979, as an adjuster trainee. In 1983, Edward became Manager of the company's Manassas, Virginia, branch office where he spent a little more than 3 years. In 1986, Edward was promoted to Vice President of Crittenden Adjustment Company and handled supervision of the company's Florida operations. By 1990, the Florida operations had grown to the level of requiring in-state hands-on supervision. Edward and his family relocated to the beautiful state of Florida in April 1990 and have been residents of the Fort Myers area since that time. March of 1995 presented the opportunity for additional change within the company. This change involved the spin-off of the Florida operations from Crittenden Adjustment Company, to the formation of Crittenden Adjustment Company (Florida), Inc. In March of 1996, Edward Crittenden and his wife, Janie, purchased the Florida operation and continue to operate the company in the same professional fashion that each of the company's clients have come to know and expect. Currently, there are six full branches throughout the state of Florida to provide professional, independent claims adjusting and claims administration for carriers, agents, TPA's, and self insureds. These locations are strategically placed to prevent unnecessary travel and are each staffed with highly qualified personnel who collectively have in excess of 150 years in adjusting experience.
