Creative Beans

Creative Beans workshops are for children between 8-12 years old who have a passion for creative writing. With a strong emphasis on fun and enjoyment, the workshops aim to give the space and freedom needed for children to take pleasure in writing. The workshops give children the chance to become an author, whilst sharpening a range of Literacy skil... ls in the process. By the end of the workshop, each child will have written an excellent story which will be printed in a book alongside the stories of their fellow authors on the course. Creative Beans workshops are primarily held during school holidays (including half terms) in Clapham, London. There is space for a maximum of 6 budding authors per workshop. The small size ensures each child receives significant attention and guidance, as well as creating a sparky, friendly atmosphere where ideas and inspiration can flourish. An important feature of the Creative Beans workshops is that they should not feel like school, but instead feel part of the holidays. Care is taken to create a relaxed and homely environment, including freshly baked, home-made brownies each day. Four-day Workshops are on offer during holidays, and One-day Workshops are on offer during half terms. Creative Beans also run the One-day Workshop in schools.
