Craigton Industries has been supplying heavyside products to the construction industry for over 40 years but it is only in the last few years that it has started to trade under it's own name - Craigton Industries (Sales) Ltd. In earlier years, the company operated as the Scottish office or agency for a number of major materials suppliers such as Na... ylor Drainage, Redland Pipes and Wessex Water Sales and Distribution. But changes to the market convinced the directors that the company's long term future lay in the development of the "Craigton" identity. Stanley McCann, who has been with the company just after its start up in 1969 and fellow director Iain Crawford McCormick wanted to widen the range of products they offer to meet customers" demands for "package deals". By increasing the product range, the company is now able to supply customers who rarely used traditional materials but were looking for a supplier of such things as geotextiles or landscaping materials. Craigton has long been known as one of the foremost suppliers of concrete pipes, manholes and clay drainage but is now able to supply plastic ducting, twinwall pipes, coiled land drainage, kerbs, slabs and aggregates. Historically, the company has strong links with the civil engineering side of the market and is prepared to follow it's customers wherever they are working. A high percentage of deliveries are direct from the manufacturer to the site but it's large stockholding and good relationships with other suppliers throughout the UK mean Craigton can offer strong "back-up" after initial deliveries have gone in.Read More
