Akers and Connie Akers (currently residing in Sanford). He began travelling as a fulltime evangelist at the age of 19. His travels took him throughout the United States for almost 9 years. Sis. Rhonda Akers became a part of that ministry in 1988 when they were married. Rhonda was raised in Wabash, IN where her father was pastor of The Apostolic Church. After 12 years of pastoring in Indiana and Tennessee, they moved back to Pastors home State of North Carolina with their 3 children in 2005. The Akers have enjoyed serving in the ministry since 1983. They consider themselves to be some of the most blessed people on earth to serve at Covenant Life as lead Pastor and wife. They enjoy spending time with family, traveling and discovering new places in their own home state of North Carolina. The Akers family was privileged in 2013 to add a daughter-in-law to the family and they are most excited about the upcoming birth of their first grandson.
