Cosmix was founded in 1997 to meet the growing demand for professional makeup schools in South Florida and around the country. The school 's founding philosophy was a commitment to educational excellence and began by assembling a staff of exceptional makeup artists. We are a post-secondary technical institution licensed by the Florida Department of Education and accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). The ACCSC is a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education. Our school of makeup provides training in makeup artistry in all the different modalities- beauty, fashion, film, television, and special effects. In an ever-growing, constantly evolving industry, our faculty are all accomplished artisans actively working. Cosmix makeup school welcomes students from all over the world and is approved to issue I-20 student visas to qualified candidates. It is our mission to create highly technically trained artists to work in various careers in the beauty, fashion, and entertainment industries. By providing the finest makeup artistry training, we qualify makeup artists for jobs ranging from simple beauty to the more complex artistry of special effects. As a special fx makeup school, we give students hands-on experience in the manufacturing and application of prosthetic appliances which prepares them for various sectors of the entertainment industry.
