Cornerstone Christian School

Cornerstone Christian School has been serving the greater Harrisonburg, Virginia, community since the fall of 1990 when two teachers and 19 students established a program dedicated to help students live Biblically, learn effectively and serve God with passion. Our program has grown and now serves students from preschool through 8th grade. What bega... n in a church building located in Broadway now operates in a school facility located in Harrisonburg. This facility is equipped with modern classrooms, computer and science labs, a gymnasium, library, athletic fields and space to grow. Our vision is to train students with Biblical principles and release them to impact the area high schools with Godly character, advanced learning and the heart to minister and love others. On July 25th, 2007, the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) regional accreditation commission granted Cornerstone Christian School accreditation. This accreditation serves as a stamp of approval from an agency that has a high standard of excellence for Christian education institutions. Cornerstone Christian School, providing interdenominational Christian education for students from grades preschool through 8th grade is a ministry of Cornerstone Church of Broadway and Cornerstone Church of the Lake. While the school is owned by Cornerstone Church, it is separately incorporated and governed by a board made up of three members from Cornerstone Church at the Lake, three members from Cornerstone Church of Broadway and three members from Cornerstone Christian School for a total of nine members.Read More
