About Cornbread Cafe
Established in 2010. Cornbread Cafe is 100% Vegan Comfort Food. Our ingredients are mostly organic, and we strive to provide only the best of what our local vendors offer. We make about 95% of our menu items in house. In this family friendly environment, you'll find board games to play, free WiFi, great service and atmosphere, and a sense of community. All are welcome. Sheree Walters and Kristy Hammond met in June 2009 after Sheree posted an ad on Craigslist looking for a business partner. The two hit it off and starting working on a plan to open a food cart. The food cart ran successfully for all of 2010, at the corner of 13th & Oak. On July 1st, 2011, Sheree and Kristy opened up a full service restaurant in the former (& well loved) Original Deb's location at 7th & Polk. In 2012 Sheree bought Kristy's half of the business, but the two remain great friends to this day, and Kristy and her family are regualrs at the cafe.Explore more
