About Copian
Copian represents the evolution of the National Adult Literacy Database (NALD) as we've outgrown our former name. For almost 25 years, we've been playing a key role in the Literacy and Essential Skills (LES) field. Since 1989, we've been connecting people and organizations across Canada to information, tools, resources and each other. As NALD, we've come to be known as the home of the country's largest online digital LES library, and the go-to place for LES information. But we are much more than a database of adult literacy programs, so it's time we changed our brand. We've changed our name to Copian, to reflect the ever-changing dynamics of the services we offer and the markets we serve. The word 'Copian' is derived from the Latin word 'copia' meaning abundance, which speaks to NALD's abundance of resources, expertise and experience. It also represents the numerous benefits learners accumulate as a result of improved skills.Explore more
