Meaning "abundance" in Latin, Copia was founded in 2013 by Silicon Valley veterans, Tracey Turner and Jonathan Lewis. Their vision was to bring the power of mobile e-commerce to middle and low-income Africans, transforming this historically neglected market into empowered global consumers. Tracey is a well known social entrepreneur who founded three companies before starting Copia.But her most challenging job is serving as mom to three tiny kids and one large dog. In her free time she has killed a few brain cells completing 11 Ironmans. Tracey holds a degree in engineering and economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Stanford Business School. Jerry has served as a board member of Copia since its founding. He has been a successful entrepreneur, executive and investor in Silicon Valley for over 40 years where he has been involved in managing all growth stages of companies from conception to multi-billion-dollar global enterprises. He enjoys travel, photography, many sports and spending time with his family. Isaac has considerable experience in the financial services industry having worked for more than 30 years in the Kenyan and regional banking industry.
