Consumer Profile Bureau (Pty) Ltd (CPB) is a registered Credit Bureau in terms of the National Credit Act No 34 of 1981, with registration number NCRCB2. CPB was established in 1981 and is the second oldest Credit Bureau in South Africa. CPB was founded as a division of the then famous Snyman and Vennote Debt Collectors, the main objective at that... stage was to be a Data Bureau by the Collections Industry for the Collections Industry. CPB's vision grew & the primary purpose became minimising risk for credit grantors by supplying pertinent, up to date focused information on Consumers & Companies. Credit Grantors use the information supplied by CPB to assist them with the Affordability Assessment as required from them in terms of the National Credit Act. During 2011, an international investment company saw the gap in the market and the potential in this small but dynamic and powerful bureau. This Investment Company purchased the shareholding in March 2011 and then sourced Industry specialists to assist with the turnaround strategy. We are proud to present the new CPB with its core team of skills and resources that specialises in business analytical information management and strategic knowledge-based operational industry related expertise.
