Concerted Services

Concerted Services, Inc. (CSI) is a private nonprofit Community Action Agency originally established under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 to fight Americans War on Poverty. CSI started doing business under the umbrella of Slash Pine Area Planning and Development Commission in 1965 and was incorporated October 7, 1968 as a private non-profit c... haritable organization. It changed its name July 25, 1984 from Slash Pine Community Action Agency, Inc. to Concerted Services, Inc. CSI began operating in 8 southeast Georgia counties and has expanded to 29 (18%) of the 159 Georgia counties. In addition to expanding the service delivery area, the agencys annual budget has grown from 300,000 in 1965 to approximately 33,417,314 million in 2010 and from 75 employees to over 400. The Executive Board is the governing body of Concerted Services, Inc. and is responsible for the planning, coordinating, making policies, evaluating and administration of the agencys business. The Board has the power to receive and administer funds under the Federal, State, or Local assistance programs. The Board delegates the responsibilities of day to day operation of the agency to the Executive Director. Mr. Bryan Singleton is the 9th Executive Director of Concerted Services, Inc. Bryan has over 20 years HR and management experience in both the for-profit and non-profit fields. His perspectives in both areas allow for the application of successful for-profit practices to drive non-profit achievement. In addition, Bryans passion for the work of Community Action has been demonstrated through his work with CSI since 2009. Bryan has a BS in Business Administration from Western Carolina University and a Masters in Human Resource Development from Clemson University.
