Compton Engineering, Inc. founded in 1973 and was founded on the principle of bringing quality engineering to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Compton initially concentrated on civil engineering type projects, including the design of utility type projects for both public and private clients. In the years following, Compton Engineering's client base and... client needs continued to grow, as did the firm. In 1993, Compton Engineering expanded its office locations to Bay St. Louis, Mississippi to better serve the needs of our clients in the southwest region of the State. In 1999, Compton Engineering expanded once more and the Biloxi, Mississippi office was opened. Compton has most recently added a governmental affairs office in Jackson, Mississippi to assist our clients at the state level, including assistance in securing funds for state and federal projects. Over the years, our firm has developed into a diversified firm with over 35 local employees offering expertise in various disciplines of professional services including civil, structural, environmental, planning, modeling, estimating, scheduling, surveying, project management, construction management, energy management, operation and maintenance as well as other administrative services.
