Community Resources

Community Resources is a national not-for-profit community development organisation established in 1987. Originally an Incorporated Association focused on assisting disadvantaged and unemployed individuals in the Worimi Biripi region of NSW, the organisation transitioned to a Company Limited by Guarantee in 2017 as its social enterprises expanded to new territories. As of June 2018, Community Resources reported a turnover of $18 million, with a current revenue of $29.6M and an employee range of 500-1,000 employees. The organisation operates across the Charitable Organizations & Foundations and Organizations industries, leveraging local knowledge and networks in partnership with government, industry, and community sectors.

The operational structure of Community Resources comprises four distinct social enterprises: Resource Recovery Australia, Soft Landing Mattress Recycling, Helping Hands, and Green Connect. In addition to these, it manages various community programs and initiatives through Homebase Youth Services and serves as the home for WasteAid Australia, contributing to the WasteAid International network.
