Community Learning Project

Incorporated in the state of Minnesota in 1992, CLP has partnered with a number of school districts and charter schools to offer learners a high school diploma while also working on adult basic education and English language competency. CLP began as an independent school until 1993 when it became a contract school for the St. Paul Public School Dis... trct. It was a satellite of the Area Learning Center and it maintained classrooms for the St. Paul Public Schools in Dinkytown by the U of M, St. Paul Community College and Inver Hills Community College. Further connections with St. Paul were made in the Hubb Center and various work sites around the city where CLP Maintained classes. CLP also maintained ABE/ESL classes for a number of other Minnesotan school districts. Most of them were collaborations with school districts and businesses. Agreements were made beginning in 1994 with the Bloomington Public School, Faribault, Waseca and St. Paul.
