The Community Justice Project of Pennsylvania is a non-profit, public interest law firm. Its mission is to protect and expand the civil rights of poor families and low-wage workers. With the help of legal services organizations and community groups, CJP challenges policies and practices which cause hardship to poor people throughout Pennsylvania. C... JP specializes in class action litigation and innovative advocacy in local communities, state government and the legislature. CJP is an "unrestricted" legal services program. This means that we are able to work on issues and cases which traditional legal services organizations cannot. We are able to litigate class actions, represent undocumented immigrants and litigate against the government. CJP limits its advocacy to broad-based issues which affect large numbers of people.
