Community Action Norfolk

Community Action Norfolk is an independent charity formed from the merger of Norfolk RCC and West Norfolk VCA. The long term focus for our work is on building a stronger, fairer Norfolk. We do this through support, empowerment and strategic partnership with local voluntary, community, social enterprise organisations as well as other key stakeholder... s. On a day to day basis we divide our work into three areas: With a strong focus on local services we aim to be the first port of call for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations needing practical support. Our community development team provides support for around 500 organisations each year across Norfolk, helping them with everything from governance and funding through to strategic planning and community engagement. Community Action Norfolk is the leading organisation for engagement with the VCSE sector in Norfolk. We are funded by Norfolk County Council to help build a positive dialogue between the VCSE sector and in particular Norfolk County Council. We work closely with the other lead organisation for this work, Momentum (Norfolk). Finally, we believe in fair outcomes for everyone, regardless of who they are and where they live. This area of our work includes our important rural advocacy role but also has a broader scope, supporting partners to focus services on individuals and develop solutions that meet their needs and provide the best possible outcomes.Read More
