In 1989, Linda Comerford decided to combine her middle school and adjunct faculty teaching experience into a new business: Comerford Consulting specializing in writing and grammar training. When Linda was studying to become a teacher, she saw a T-shirt with a picture of a tombstone containing the words: Considering that only a few of her teachers c... ould be described as memorable, she related to the ironic humor. Thats when she formulated her recipe for success. She took the ingredients of her knowledge about writing and grammar, sifted them for the most practical ones that would benefit those struggling to write and edit in the business world, spiced them up with her trademark personality to deliver them, and iced them with humor to create Workshops that Work! Her writing ability motivated her to create customized training manuals that enhance her programs, and the rest is history. She marvels how much her clients helped shape her 28-year history. Because the participants in her workshops rated them so highly, training directors soon had her branching out to offer additional subjects shed never even considered.
