Comcorp integrates the community and the corporation, joining a social purpose with business methods. Comcorp is a social enterprise, also referred to as the fourth sector, which means we exist to promote positive social and environmental change. We operate with a larger than normal pro bono component, aimed at supporting grassroots communities tha... t cannot afford to pay for our expertise. We also support several charities and social and environmental projects with our expertise and action. Jen George is a Founder and Director of Comcorp. Jen has 25 years working in community engagement in places, spaces, organisations and networks. Jen has a passion to empower the collaborations of people to create the future they hope for through communities that function well and have purpose. Rather than being told what to do, communities thrive when they are empowered to do what they love to do and Jen seeks to get alongside organisations to help them realise their aspirations for meaningful partnerships and strategies that build trust and enhance performance. However functional meaningful communities don't just happen. Jen's enthusiasm for her work is backed by academic credibility, pursuing a PhD in Community Governance to complement her planning and design background. She also has diverse experience working in and alongside not for profits and government organisations to realise social, civic and environmental outcomes in the pursuit of a more meaningful, sustainable and equitable society. Jen prefers the personal approach, believing in slow and informed strategic change to build community outcomes that last. Her favourite working environment is sitting under gum trees, sipping a great coffee while brainstorming with clients and their communities about their collaborative vision, then assisting them with the steps to make it happen.Read More
