Established by some of the drainage industry's most reputable experts and specialists, Colus provide a range of specialist drainage services to a variety of UK based organisations, water companies and local authorities. The new division will specialise in repairing those difficult drainage areas where access is limited. These areas include the side of rivers and secluded country roads. The division will be headed up by David Hartley who has recently joined Colus as Contracts Manager and has several years' experience within the drainage industry. "This marks a new specialist division for Colus and I am delighted to have joined at such an exciting stage of the business' development," comments David. Colus have initially invested significant resources in CCTV and cleaning equipment, including high pressure water jetters and CCTV units, with the plan being to enhance the capabilities as the division continues to grow. The business' new cleaning division has already undertaken several jobs in the UK, most notably in the Yorkshire area. Working in partnership with civil engineering specialist Lumsden and Carroll, Colus have recently undertaken a project in Todmorden, West Yorkshire. "We were asked to carry out a sewer lining project by contractor Lumsden and Carroll. Prior to the liner being inserted we had to do a CCTV survey which identified debris that we had to remove using our high pressure water jetting equipment."
