About Cogimex Usa
COGIMEX was established in France back in in 1991. The following year, PLG CONFECTION, the company's manufacturing facility located in Madagascar, became operational. This integrated structure was envisioned in order to control both production and wholesale distribution. Today this puts the company in a unique position to offer the best products, together with the best level of service. The company's first clients were the French retailers Auchan and Promods. The company has been operating in the United States since the early 2000s, following the enactment of the African Growth & Opportunity Act. COGIMEX USAs first clients were large American retailers such as Walmart and Steve & Barrys, as well as clothing companies such as Jones Apparel and Gloria Vanderbilt.
