Although located in Fremont County, the nearest town is Westcliffe, which is in Custer County. Ma... ny of our owners are active in the Westcliffe community. Cody Park is in the Deer Mountain Fire District which Cody Park supports by collecting donations from owners, 100% of which go to purchasing equipment and materials for the district. If you notice some cows staring at you, that's because we have kept our agricultural roots by granting cattle grazing right to a local rancher. This gives owners a financial benefit by allowing property tax to be designated as agricultural property which saves owners hundreds of dollars a year in taxes. The Cody Park Property Owners Association provides many services to owners, such as maintenance of more than 36 miles of dirt roads, an annual luncheon meeting, and communications, including this web site, quarterly newsletter and bi- annual directory.
