About Cochran Camps

Cochran Camps is a great family vacation spot open year around. Located a short distance from Interstate 95, exit 291, (Lat. N46 07.979 Long. W68 02.003) 10 miles west of historic Houlton, Maine and the border to New Brunswick Canada. Cochran is a quiet, secluded, peaceful lake that offers all aspects of outdoor entertainment at your door, from: Just a short distance from Baxter State Park, Mt. Katahdin, New Brunswick Canada, the North Maine Woods and the Grand Lakes. There are a few camps on this lake with no public access. It is stocked with brown trout, brook trout and splake ( a cross between a speckled trout and a lake trout). Some trout are over 6 Lbs. We have one family of nesting loons that love to fish in front of our camps most mornings as do migrating ducks and geese in the fall. It is not uncommon to see moose, deer, bear, otter, beaver, eagles, ducks, herring and osprey also enjoying the lake.Explore more
