The mission of Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust is to preserve and promote the natural, cultural and historical heritage of the Damariscotta-Pemaquid region for the benefit of all. Watershed Association in March 2019. Coastal Rivers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, membership supported, community based, nationally accredited land trust and conservation organization with more than 1,800 members conserving nearly 4,000 acres of the regions most significant lands for public benefit. Contributions to the land trust are tax-deductible, as provided by law, as are donations of land and conservation easements that provide essential public benefits. We care for critical land and water resources and historical assets, including outstanding wildlife habitat, public access, and cultural treasures like oyster shell middens . We also provide extensive educational programs focused on the areas rich natural and historical heritage. While Coastal Rivers land conservation efforts in the Damariscotta-Pemaquid region are focused on the towns of Damariscotta, Newcastle, Edgecomb, Nobleboro, Bristol, South Bristol, Waldoboro, Boothbay and Bremen, our educational programs benefit individuals and families from Yarmouth to Lincolnville, as well as visitors from around the world.Read More
