We MUST have a current copy of your insurance card at each appointment. If your insurance changes, you must provide us a copy of the new card as soon as possible. Insurances allow 90 days for billing. If we are not provided with the correct insurance information, then you will be responsible for payment of balance. Having a newborn can be a hectic... time, however it is important to remember to add your baby to your insurance policy within 30 days of birth. All co-payments are due at time of visit. A service fee of $15 will be charged for any co-pays not paid at time of service. The person who brings the child to the office is responsible for this payment. Some insurance plans require a referral from a primary care provider for specialty services, diagnostic services, rehabilitation services, etc.. You will be required to research which specialty provider us within your plan. All plans are different and Coastal Pediatrics is not responsible for knowing each plan. Please ask for referrals in a timely fashion as certain insurances will not back date them. For routine problems, please call during regular office hours. Our clinical staff are well trained and able to answer most of your questions or to help you decide if your child needs to be seen. We recommend the following when calling. *Please leave your full name, child's name, date of birth and a brief message so the staff can access the medical record. *Depending on the volume of incoming calls, it may take 1-2 hours for the medical assistant to return your call. *Due to the providers limited availability throughout the day, the staff will take all messages and present them accordingly. Weekend hours are for emergent care and are based on an "on call" basis. After hours and weekends are covered entirely by either Dr. Hodges or Steve Parker PA.
