Our practice was launched in August 1982 as an initial family Partnership which operated for 5 years. Our Practice then incorporated in August 1987 to become Nalesi Pty Ltd T/as COASTAL ACCOUNTING SERVICES. We are a family business comprising Bill Bright as Practice Director, Rosemary Bright as Administration Director and Alysia Murray(nee Bright)... as Practice Accountant. In addition we have in our employ 2 other staff members, comprising 1 qualified Accountant Jacqui Meredith and an administration/secretarial support in Lynette Lennards. Being a family based business, we highly regard the meaning of personal services and have focused this principle in respect of the way we deal with our clients. In this age of electronic media, the personal contact has all but been eliminated. We as an organisation strive to maintain the personal contact and services to client principle. As a result of the introduction of GST in the year 2000 we as a group of like minded accountants realised that the GST would have enormous implications for small business. We knew that there would be significant demand for regular information and support services - beyond the role of the simple "tax" accountant. We needed a system and set of processes that would enable us to communicate with our client base on a regular basis and allow access to important information from the Australian Taxation Office and other sources of information.
