The Coast Restaurant has long been known for their amazing food, setting the standard for dining out on Australias Gold Coast. We pride ourselves on our incredible food, atmosphere and well trained, friendly staff. Now, we have another accolade to add to our list and that is the number one place for dessert and coffee according to a popular Austral... ian Magazine. We also happen to agree- our dessert and coffee is amazing! While our pastry chef team created fantastic specials and seasonal creations, we have to thank our wait staff for the incredible coffee. In fact, it was the wait staff at our restaurant who made us ditch the pre ground coffee beans and purchase an amazing coffee grinder to make our coffee even fresher. It was definitely the right thing to do! As a busy restaurant, we use to opt for the simplest coffee option which was to buy coffee beans already ground and just pour them into the coffee machine. The coffee was very good and no one ever complained. However, several members of our staff said that we should try to make our coffee great, not just good. One member of our team use to be a barista and she informed us of how great coffee was when the beans were grounded right before they were brewed. She showed us which coffee bean grinder to get and helped us train everyone about the nuances of grinding and brewing. The day we switched to grinding our own beans, our customers immediately noticed the difference! Coffee instantly tastes better!
